Ripoff qualifier for government grants of at least $5,000 with a 299.97 fee

I received a green post card marked UrgentGram stating I had been identified as a possible recipient of a government grant of atleast $5,000.00. It stated it was money you did not have to pay pack you could use it for education, housing, health, business, and disaster relief. I called the 1-800 number and was told I was approved, but they needed my checking account number and ss# or driv lic # as an identifier in order to process the loan. They told me in order to guarentee the min amount of $5,000.00 I would need to pay the $299.97 for processing. Well I've been burned to many times in the past so I questioned why a government agency was asking for a processing fee for a grant when grants are not suppose to cost you anything so I told them I would have to think about it and get back to them. I then came to work and pulled up this information on the company, I am so glad I did before I made a stupid mistake and gave them my checking account information.
