Ocwen Federal purchased homes from HUD in major cities to be part of the Sec. 8 Free home program. This program give a free home to people on Section 8. Ocwen receives the mortgage payments from HUD at 4-5X the amount of your mortgage payment.in ten years the Section 8 owner has a paid in full mortgage. Ocwen raises the property values, and HUD pays them, even if the house is not worth it.
I had my home foreclosed on by Ocwen 6-99. We fell one month behind. I contacted Ocwen. It took four months of calling them, for a reply.

I offered two months out of the three payments.
Ocwen wanted all past payments, plus $1700 for their lawyer costs. We couldn't pay that. I was in the hospital with a spine operation durning the foreclosure notices. I lost my job due to the injury. My husband had his work hours cut to part time. And I had four children living in the house under the get 18. Ocwen didn't once try to help. Their lawyer wanted $17,000 paid on a $26,000 balance. Ocwen went to court against us, and we were Not Served! City of Philadelphia court records shows No Service! Since we were FTA, Ocwen won a $44,000.00 judgement against us. I didn't even know this until we moved out.

Ocwen "Crystal" stated that there was no judgement and offered us $500. To clean up and be out of the house, so they didn't have to get warrents and the Sheriff didn't come out and drag us out of the house. I took the $500. Then I found out Ocwen were dirty rotten liars! Then in 7-99 Ocwen was harassing my Mother, call her house and sending bills to pay more money of $13,000. Plus the judgement and Ocwen having the house. This house is sinking "Piers" from settlememt and will need $30,000. To rebuild it.

Ocwen left the window open above the sinking support pier for 1 and 1/2 years, in hope it would fall, and they could collect insurance money. This house remains half boarded up and sinking badly with the adjoining four other houses in the row. It HUD purchases it they are Stupid! I want to sue as part of a class action suit! Please advise since I will never own anything again!
