Ken Hughes Collections Rip Off Scam And New York New York

This outfit continues to attempt collection on debts that were settled or written off more than 15 years ago! I bought new car in January 06 and almost immediately got letter demanding $2,932.20 on old loan debt from Florida. Called and told them to cease contact. Wrote a letter emphasizing cesation and they keep sending letters out with payment demands. I filed complaint with the Indiana Attorney General, Florida Attorney General, New York and Illinois Attorney Generals as well as the Federal Trade Commission - all under the Fair Debt Collecion Practices Act.

I suggest all individuals who are contacted by this company or Mr. Hughes do the same. After a number of complaints the Federal Trade Commission will take action to shut them down. YOU MUST FILE COMPLAINTS with your attorney general and the FTC in order to stop this company from fraud. You may be entitled to damages of up to $500,000 if a class action is brought against them.
