NCO Financial Systems
Cannot even find my account but confirms it through Experian, ripoff

My wife and I pulled our credit reports and found a hospital debt on hers handed over to NCO Financial Systems for collection. I attempted to contact NCO through every phone number found on the internet.

I got the run around to 3 other numbers from whoever answered their phones. Then after giving the medical dept. The account number listed and my wifes SS# she still couldn't find the debt and then put me on hold on Friday afternoon, after 20 minutes I hung up.

I tried again on Monday morning and an operator doesn't even answer after 20 rings. I disputed the account with Experian since they found no record and immediately got a reply saying the debt is valid.

I finally decided to call the original debtor at the hospital billing and they gladly accepted payment. I requested a receipt and that they notify NCO of the paid debt. I will pull another credit report in 30 days and see if the account is closed. I notified the hospital of the trouble I had with NCO so maybe they will find another agency to deal with.
