Ripoff charged several thousand and getting the run around, charged my credit card without permission, misleading promises, they have put us more in debt than we were before

When we contacted ITR they told us we qualify and that they could settle our IRS debt for much less than what we owe. Their fee would be 7,200.00 but it would be well worth paying them that amount, considering what they would be able to save us.

We were to pay them in 3 installments. The first two payment installments, they called me, and i gave them my credit card number, the third payment, they never called, and took it off my credit card, in which i was not going to pay with, and put me over my limit. They seemed to be rushed to get all the money up front. We had agreed that our tax returns would be done through them and filed quickly, so that we could refinance our home, in order to pay this huge fee. Their contract says we will recieve our tax returns within about 6 weeks, and it has been well over that, and all they keep saying when we call, is it will be done in about 2 weeks. Everything is 2 weeks, over and over.

We were very worried, so we contacted IRS and they told us there is no way we will qualify for an offer in comprimise, and that we should have just contacted them in the first place. When contacting innovative the first time, he told us we qualify, and that if we dont do something now, IRS will possibly take our home or garnish our wages, and has us scared to death. So we thought we were taking our first step in the right direction to get this matter taken care of by hiring them to help us. What a joke, now we are in a much worse financial situation than we were before. Im sick of getting the run around by sean madden, our so called tax advisor. He ripped us off big time! Now we have this huge credit card debt to them to go along with the same tax debt we had before. This is a hard lesson learned, and im sorry we were so vulnerable and trusting.
