Ripoff

My now ex-husband and I purchased a mobile home together from Green Tree. When I left him he only had 3 years left to pay and he would own it.in my divorce degree they awarded him the home and he was responsible for the payment. They would not make him refinance because he had poor credit.

I found out that he wasnt making the payments and that they were going to repo the trailer. So I called Green Tree, to make sure they were not going to come after me for it. The girl that I talked to told me that they would repo it and sell it, and if they couldn't get the pay off then my ex would be resposible for the difference. That they would garnish his wages for the difference. She told me that the pay off was $10,000.

Now after 4 years I receive a letter stating that I owe them $9,729.42. You cann't tell me that they sold the trailer for less then $1,000. Is there any thing I can do about this?
