Ripoff scam dishonest cult

I wanted to add my personal experience and a friend's to all those who are thinking of making the big mistake of joining Quixtar.

By now, everyone pretty much knows the pitfalls of joining this scam. I was approached a couple of years ago at a Barnes and Noble by some guy and his wife. They both looked like they were trying to dress up and look flashy, but looked like crap. They were pretending to look at magazines about real estate to buy and yachts blah blah blah. I was in school and just getting a cup of coffee reading some magazines, I guess I looked young and impressionable.

This is exactly what these chickenhawks look for. Thats what they are chickenhawks by the way. Somehow they initiated a conversation with me about their "business." I think its sad and wrong they recruit kids at malls/bookstores. They told me how they are building a new house and their new yacht would be built by the summertime. I pretended to be interested and never called the guy.

Last year a buddy of mine got sucked in, and asked me if I wanted to attend a business meeting at the Marriot hotel. I knew what this scam was, so I agreed to go, so that I could point out to him the BS this really was. Well, they gave the same song and dance about how its like owning the McDonalds corp, how you're selling the service that gives access to all of these products, blah blah blah. Yeah great comparison except for the fact that the vast majority of people buying Quixtar products are the IBO's themselves.

A funny thing happened, I met the same couple at this meeting that I saw a couple years ago at Barnes and Noble. They didn't recognize me and told me once again about their yacht that would be ready by the summertime. Hmmm. They said the same thing two years ago. I was supportive of my friend wanting to be ambitious and make something of himself, but I told him he shouldn't do it. Well, he did for a couple months just to give it a try. He almost lost his apartment and was gone day and night at these meetings.

Quixtar claims you get more free time in the end and if you aren't making money then you're lazy. I can tell you my friend worked horrible hours without receiving crap in return. Anyway, he got out, we both have graduated college and work well paying marketing jobs.

This company is built on the people at the top making all the money off of the little people going to their meetings and buying their propaganda. Go to school instead, earn a degree, and become a real part of society.
