Ripoff Unethical Immoral Fraud

Space City Credit Union, Formerly SSCU is an unethical, immoral, banking establishment.

In April my mother was diagnosed with terminal cancer, and I had two accounts with Space City Credit Union. At the time of my mothers diagnosis my wife and I were living in Texas and we put our house on the market, packed up and moved home to take care of mom.

In May, June, and July paying for two households (one and TX, and the other in NY) became too much and we had to choose to pay late on our Space City Credit Union Loans. Keep in mind we have excellent history with this institution. I explained the situation to their collections officer (Tony Lee) and was told "no problem" just pay it as soon as you can.

Both accounts a combined amount of $3,000 or less owed, we are not talking about a mortgage here. After getting back on our feet we have since paid both accounts off completely.

After checking our Credit we found that Space City was reporting that both of our accounts were either 30 days late once or 60 days late once depending on the Bureau.

We then asked to have our accounts "reaged" as a courtesy so that the lates would be removed and we could buy a new home. The request was denied all the way to Craig Rhoden the credit union president.

Given the situation, and our past good history with Space City CU I would have expected more from them, a bit more compassion, a bit more understanding. But instead we are resorting to "Freedom of Speech" to get the word out that Space City Credit Union is a unethical, immoral, lying organization. Do not deal with them.
