I just had an appointment with two employees of Primerica. My husband was approached at a gas station which was my first red flag.

The guy called to set up the appointment. I called him back to tell him I was skeptical and that I wasn't sure I wanted him to come. He explained a little about how he wanted to get me out of debt and save for retirement.

They never mentioned anything about working for them until they were at my dining room table. They went through the whole booklet/program which sounded awesome.

I am a very skeptical person about businesses, loans, anything financial. When they pushed the life insurance policy and asked several times if we would like to sign up, I couldn't help but wonder, "What about the rest of this great program?" and why weren't they pushing me to get out of debt.

The part about getting out of debt was almost never mentioned except to show me all the great numbers about how much I could have in 24 years.

All they wanted was to get me to figure out how much I could afford every month for savings, but then the only number they focused on was the monthly life insurance premium.

The meeting was late, and I was openly skeptical and not willing to sign on the spot. I wanted to think about it. I probably would have signed for the insurance if it hadn't been so late and if he would've kept pushing because it did sound really great.

I also have a meeting to go to on Wednesday night but will promptly cancel it tomorrow. I am so thankful that I looked up the company and found all of this stuff to keep me out of trouble. Again. Thank you to this site and all of you who posted your consumer complaintss. Thanks for helping me to not get ripped off..
