Capital Financial
Ripoff, suspected fraud Florida internet

Business & Finance

I applied for a Capital One Credit Card online and two weeks later I recieved a phone call from Donna Marshall from Capital Financial stating they were a subsidary of Capital One and that my application has been forwarded to them because of my poor credit score.

They said that they were approving me for a credit card with a credit limit of $2,000 and up to a $1,000 cash advance and a fixed rate of 6.89%. But in order for them to do this, I would need to do a one time deposit of $200 to ensure that my first few monthly statements were paid. I ignored the little warning bells going off in my head not to do this, but like an idiot, I did.

She said she was having technical problems and would have to get back to me, but in the mean time, she gave me the customer service number. So after 15 minutes and no call back, I tried several times to get ahold of someone at the customer service number, but the line went dead after awhile. Warning bells were going off again, so I typed in google search and found this web site and my heart sank. I am probably one of the lucky ones who was able to stop them from getting my money before they did. I had to close my account and open a new one.
