Ripoff

Ameriquest Mortgage Company in Orange, CA is a total ripoff and has stolen thoudsands of olalrs from us.

We would send our monthly payment tot hem and 3 weeks later we would receive it back stating it was not the correct amount even though it was what they told us we owed. Then we would send it again and they would do the exact same thing. I tried calling them and got voicemail all the time and begged them to call me back. They never did. We ended up in forelcosure and had to come up with thoudands of dollars to keep from having our house sold on the courthouse steps.

I could only get through to them by contacting the lawyers handling the foreclosure. Then Ameriquest called me and said we could be put into Home Retention Program if we would send $8,000. Then our payments were doubled. This happend three times. They had us over a barrel and no other mortgage companies would touch us because of this. We were stuck with the.

Now they sold our account to another company and the payments we sent to Ameriquest haven't been forwarded on to the new company. This new company said they will research it and let us know why Ameriquest hasn't sent it on. They also stated it seems that we overpaid according to their records when the amount we sent Ameriquest gets posted at their company.

I want to know if there is anyone out there who has had this same problem and if they did anything about it such as contacting a lawyer to see if they could get all the attorney ffees back or whatever. Please let me know if there is a lawyer out there that can help me. Thank you.
