MY experience with Primerica was not very good.
I decided to try it because I am a single mom and my child-support is erractic to say the least. A friend from work was into it so I went to a INFO meeting. After I decided I might give it a try, I was really pressured into paying the $200.00 fee. My first week I made a lot of appointments for My Mentor. But most of them, all canceled out and my mentor was not too pleased.
I was really pressured into rescheduling them, I felt like I was becoming a pest to these people. I was told to make apts on Sundays, or at 9:30 p. M at night, whenever I could get people. I decided this wasn't for me. I was working my regular job during the days and trying to get these kitchen table meetings at night. I was spending less and less time away from home. Then they have all these training meetings you have to go to, along with the big bru-ha-ha convention meetings.
A lot of these you have to take time off from your regular job to go to. So I stopped going and told my mentor it wasn't for me, I am not a pushy person that can just invite myself over to someones house. I never did get my $200.00 back.
It's been one year and I understand that my former Mentor is not doing very well in it. He quit his regular job to do this full time and he is in the hole. He is to the point where he actually is calling his former job people and begging them for names of people he can set up meetings with. His wife was bragging that in 6 months she would be quittng her job too, but she stills come to work everyday. Doesn't look like she's quitting. I went through a mortgage process with them, when I was on their team, and it was a bad mistake. He really wasn't experienced in mortgage applications and he screwed up my mortgage and I was the one who had to make all the phone calls to rectfiy everything. Primerica didn't want to know anything.
