Took 1000.00 to secure and build my credit, but upon closing my account said my money is being kept due to fees. Ripoff Sacramento California

Beware of Wells Fargo Business Credit Center. I opened a secured credit card with $ 1000.00 to build my business credit. They were very kind and very willing to take my money and open my account. I rarely used the card, and never used the checking account they "had" to open with my card, but now, after I closed the account due to lack of business, I called to find out about my money and guess what. I am sorry, but you will not be getting any money because it paid off your account.

I got nowhere with my questions. I never used the checking account they are saying ate up the money in returned check fees, and other fees. Funny thing is I never ever write any checks out of that account AND I made payments on the account to help my credit score, so actually, I gave them 1000.00 plus about 500.00 in payments.

So if you are considering opening an account with them, beware that you will be giving them your money. Please read the fine print and keep all your records, oh and pre-buy a plane ticket to CA, so you can actually talk to someone in person if you need to, because they act like total ignorant people when you call. They spout off all this sh* about why you are not getting your money and even though it is bullsh*, you can't do anything. They are good at ripping you off.
