Payoff intrest rip-off

Called them for account payoff and got some guy who had an accent that made him almost impossible to understand. I paid them that amount.

I am now getting bills from them saying that I owe them more intrest. (they jacked up their rates to 25% is why I paid them off). Called them and got a total runaround.

They did say they will damage my credit if I don't pay the intrest they are demanding.
