Is underhanded ripoff

They re-aged and old debt from 1994, claiming it was opened in 03/05!

Furthermore, they are trying to say that the amount owed is $7,926.

The debt was a car that I had back when I was student going through hard times, it was reposessed by the original creditor but then it was sold for what was owed.

LHR INC contacted us awhile back.
We called them and informed them that the statutes of limitations had expired, plus the car was only $2500 dollars in the first place, and had been paid off.

LHR INC actually tried to tell us that they were not a collection agency, but that they had taken over the company, and had looked in their financial portfolio, and was just checking on the status of an old debt, hoping to collect.

I am contacting them tomorrow to let them know that I am filing a complaint with the FTC.
