Fraudulent 0% Interest Rate Credit Card for Only a $249 Fee

Yes, it has happened to me too. I received a call on my cell phone from a female representative with Oxford Financial offering a 0% interest rate credit card with a $2000 limit for a small $249 start-up fee. The card would stay locked at 0% interest for the first three years and then jump up to no more that 8% interest for the life of the card.

I am currently a college student working 40 hours a week to keep my head above water. I believed this would be a great way for me to rebuild my credit and that was actually one of Oxford Financial's main selling points. They claimed to report my credit history to credit bureaus twice as much as any other card in the United States. Thus, if I paid my monthly balance on time I was assured of rebuilding my credit even faster.

Well, it turns out this was all a scam. After calling the hustlers on three different occassions and getting the same response each time I decided to take action. I am now in the process of contacting my bank to demand the money be returned to my account and I am also contacting my state's Attorney General.
