Ripoff

I have been trying to pay off all of my credit cards. This company was one of the cards.

I made arrangements for payoff on this card with a lender and the payoff was made. I received a statement from this company which showed I still needed to pay more on the account.

I made the payment over the amount that was stated on the statement. Thinking that a refund was in my favor I called the company and asked for the refund.

I was informed that because I did not close the account sooner, I was charged more interst on the account. The company themselves closed this account earliar, but did not tell me that I needed to close this account earlier myself.

Beware of this practice! The credit cards apparently operate in the same manner.
