One lie after the other! Ripoff

July Alicia w / Quicken Loans called me after I made an inquiry on lowermybills.com. She said she could get me a very good interest rate and I agreed to go ahead with the loan. This is when she dropped the bombshell about needing a cc# for the deposit to cover appraisal & credit report. Since I was very uncomfortable with this, she assured me no monies would be removed from my account. I unfortunately gave her my debit card #.. That the only way there would be any charges is if I refused to go thru with the closing.

The appraiser called the next day and appraisal was set for Friday. I called Alicia once again and asked her to verify that there was no way I would have to pay any fees out of my account. I also at this time voiced my concern regarding the appraisal and told her there was no way my house would appraise for more than $114,000, in fact I told her this several times during our conversation. She said no problem we have lot's of room to work with and again said I would only have to pay if I backed out.

Two weeks after the appraisal I had not heard anything back from Quicken, I checked the website and was told to call Charlotte Riley. Charlotte is the one who told me my appraisal was not high enough and that my loan had been sent back. I spoke with Sam and Alicia both later that day and was told there was nothing that could be done for me and that I now owed $227.00 for appraisal and credit report.

After many phone calls over the next week with Lakea who is a Client Relationship Advocate I was finally able to obtain the information that my appraisal needed to come in at $122,000 for me to get a loan. What part of $114,000 did Alicia not understand?

I received a Statement of Adverse Action w / no counter offer the week of August 14. Due to being out of town for a couple of weeks I started communicating with Lakea again the week of Aug. 23. Basically I was fighting for my money that they had taken from my account using the argument I would never have approved an appraisal if they would have been upfront with me regarding how much they needed th appraisal to come in at.

Lakea turned me back over to Sam who called me the next day and said they never said they couldn't get me a loan! Keep in mind I have my letter stating that they couldn't help me, plus was told by Sam, Alicia and Charlotte on 8/4 that nothing could be done.

It's been almost 2 mos. Since I have spoken with anyone from Quicken. I feel talking to these morons is a waste of my time and energy. Call it what you want... Misrepresentation, misleading or whatever but in my book a lie is a lie. And this company has lied to me too many times!

My advise to anyone looking for a loan; run do not walk as far away from Quicken as you can!!
