First Target Financial AKA Silver Crest Loans
Ripoff Loan Scam Complete Scam wants upfront money to process

Business & Finance

Please be advised, First Target Financial aka Silver Crest Loans is a scam. I needed a loan and "google searched" for personal credit loans. I linked up to a blind website and entered just my name, ph#, and amount needed. I received a call from Amber at First Target Financial a day later and she said I was approved for $8000. The exact amt I had asked for. She indicated what the monthly payment would be and that I would have to secure it with 20% down. I needed to send her $1600 and they would deposit the full $8000 the day after receiving my payment.

She wanted to fax me the info and application, however, I was driving and asked to call her back the next day. Upon calling her back, she didn't remember what she had told me previously and asked for a $1400 deposit. I told her I couldn't afford that and she replied I could do half now, the other half after I received the loan. I then asked for their website address which she provided. A decent looking site. I looked for their address and found out it was Allendale, Michigan.

I looked for them in "consumer complaints" and found nothing. So far so good.

After thinking about it over the weekend, I "googled" Allendale Michigan BBB and the first thing that popped up was a warning about First Target Financial. It's a complete SCAM. The BBB said their address does not exist. They have a Canada address.

I was lucky. After viewing their website, I seriously considered their loan offer. However their Testimonies all sounded the same. Thanks to the BBB I sent them nothing. I wanted to post this in Rip-Off so everyone would know.
