Glad to see I am not the only one. My nightmare began last year after Hurricane Ivan. Got behind and tried to make arrangements, Saxononly has one arrangement... Payment plans. I agreed to a 6 month payment plan they were to send me documentation to sign.instead two days later I received foreclosure paperwork. I called and was told they had to file this first and now I would receive my papers to sign and IF I kept up my payment plan (forebearance plan) they would dismiss the foreclosure.

I did eventually receive the paperwork paid over 2,000 initially with 5 more payments of almost 1000.00 due for the next 5 months. WHne asked why it was so much when I was only 2500.00 behind, I was told 4000 was attorney fees. I asked how attorney fees could be so much when the attorney only had it for one day! No plausible explaination was forthcoming and at this point it wasn't like I had a choice. So I paid and paid and paid... 3 months into the plan I called to ask the payoff of the plan and was given an amount (after several transfers and inaccurate information) I was told they'd have to check for attorney fees and call back in 24 hours. I stated I had paid attorney fees already at this point the man became very rude and hateful. I called back in 24 hours and was given an amount which I immediately went and paid via western union (NOTE: be sure to make your payments via western union so you have documentation of when you paid costs 2.50 over the phone and is well worth it)

I Called the next day to make sure payment had been received low and behold I get the same rude man... Fortunately I was on my cell with speaker on and had a co-worker with me to witness this mans hateful attitude... I asked if I would get a statement for my February payment he informed me "MA'AM, we are not legally obligated to send you a statement but you are legally obligated to pay your bill!" I told him that I would pay the bill but I needed a statement, he interrupted and stated "AGAIN MA'AM we are not legally obligated...) I said okay but if I don't get a statement, he interrupted me here and said "MA'AM FOR THE THIRD TIME" I interrupted him and said "SIR, I need to know how much I need to pay for February, therefore I need some kind of statement!" Oh, MA'AM I can give you that information. He then told me what I owed for February which I went home and tried to paid via Western Union, it would not take my payment as it was "NOT A SUFFICIENT AMOUNT TO BRING YOUR ACCOUNT CURRENT" I called Saxon and found that the payment I made in January had been placed in a SUSPENSE account and not credited. It would be taken care of in 24 - 48 hours. On Feb 2nd I made my payment via Western Union.in March when I called to make my payment I again got "NOT A SUFFICIENT AMOUNT TO BRING YOUR ACCOUNT CURRENT" Called Saxon again... The January payment was still in the suspense account..."we'll correct it give us 24 - 48 hours. I made the March payment on the 7th.

I got a bill for April and it showed 180.00 late fess. I called Saxon and explained I shouldn't have late fees, person #1... You were on a payment plan it is standard practice ME: my contract says: no fees accrue as long as agreement is kept... Transferred call
Person #2... It is standard practice to charge late fees on payment plan accounts... ME: my contract says no late fees... Transfer call Person #3 (incredibly enough Mr. RUDE) MA'AM it is Saxon policy you are paying late payments while on the plan therefore you are charged late fees ME: I don't have my contract in hand but I know it says (MR. RUDE INTERRUPTS) MA'AM this is the way we do it. I hang up, find my contract call back... Expalin to person #1 she transfers me. Explain to person #2 she transfers me HOLY COW person #3 MR RUDE "MA'AM we went over this yesterday (I INTERRUPT) SIR! I have a contract in my hand paragraph 4 section c towards the bottom says (HE INTERRUPTS ME... PUTS ME ON HOLD) 5 minutes later... MA'AM your account has been credited subtract the fees from your payments and you shold owe XXX. XX for April.

I gave it a few days called to make payment "NOT A SUFFICIENT AMOUNT TO BRING YOUR ACCOUNT CURRENT" called Saxon explained this SUSPENSE ACCOUNT had supposedly been cleared up in Feb, then again in March, now it is April and still not corrected... I will make payment when it is corrected. On the 19th of April I made payment. I missed May and called in June to make all of May & 1/2 of June. We don't accept partial payments, I'll put you on a payment plan... Paid the 1000.00 I offered to begin with financed 400.00 over next 4 payments. Never got paperwork called in July to find out payment amount was told 1400.20... WHAT!!! Researched and found person had set up account wrong, could I pay 1100 by the end of July. Yes! Called in July to make payment... Guess what 1000.00 payment never credited but placed in SUSPENSE ACCOUNT!"MA'AM we don't know when payments go into Suspense account!" I paid over phone with rep who supposedly corrected account. Called and emailed saxon to complain tha they had me listed as 90 days past due on my credit bureau report and still had the foreclosure action pending in court that had been taken care of in January.

They would look into my credit report and "I" needed to contact "Their" attorney to have the foreclosure dismissed! I did and it was! Credit bureau report still has never been corrected. Despite Saxon trying to ruin me I finally found another company to refi with. Low and behold when they pulled my title, it shows a pending foreclosure, but the foreclosure doesn't show up anywhere else. They send the dismissal paperwork to the title company. Title company wants paperwork showing bamkruptcy dismissal as this is how the attorney is telling them it was dismissed. After many, many phone calls they finally get it through their thick heads there IS NO BANKRUPTCY... Then they won't remove the foreclosure off the title because it was filed by J.P. Chase, not Saxon, although they admit they know it is one and the same. I call Saxon and am told, it is part of my title history and will never be removed, I state I understand it is that "HISTORY" but they have it listed as pending foreclosure on the title, sorry MA'AM it will remain... Maybe Saxon should familiarize themselves with Florida Statute 702.08!

Thank God despite Saxon ruining my credit report and Mortgage score I was able to finance with another company, although at a less than attractive rate. I figure one year at a crappy rate and I can refi for better! And now that I am no longer under Saxon's ARBITRATION RIDER I have filed a complaint with FTC and plan on taking all documentation to an attorney. I printed out their info about my account from their website. Of course, when you quote anything from their website they are quick to tell you, Oh, that information is not accurate! Hate it for them, cause, that is exactly what happened, it clearly shows my payments being made on time BUT... Being placed into a suspense account by Saxon, it also shows multiple "PROPERTY INSPECTION FEES" in a single month, a couple of months which payments were on time and charges should not have been applied! This is just the highlights of what they have done/tried to do over the last 6 months! Feel free to contact me if you would like to know who I refinanced with, maybe they can help you too!
