Ripoff harrassed me when they were legally advised not to

I have a debt with Allied Interstate that I thought was taken care of when I filed bankruptcy. I went to court on July 5th. Since I have gone to court I have received a phone call from these people at least three times a week. I returned their phone call early on in the collection process and informed them that I had filled bankruptcy against them. I gave them my attorney's name and number so they could contact them. I talked to my attorney yesterday and they were informed of the situation. They also told me that no one from Allied Interstate has contacted them.

I have called Allied interstate several times in the last two weeks to settle this. Every time I seem to call they have an answering machine. I have left two different messages for them to stop harassing me. This week they have called me everyday and today I called them and was on hold for over 35 minutes. Needless to say, I had things to do and hung up, not talking to anyone. This company is relentless, no matter what the consequences may be.

To my knowledge, once you have filed for bankruptcy, and the creditor has been notified, it is the law that they can no longer harass you with letters, phone calls, or emails.
