Mac-cee ripoff - fraudulent charges unauthorized

As the others - $9.95 charged shows up on 08/08 from MAC CEE INC in Staten Island, NY. Never heard of them, never done business with any one in the state of NY before, so we did a google on it. Found this site and several others - investigated it and now have contacted local police (who were fooled by the scammers) and the Internet Fraud Complaint Center.

It almost appears as though someone has gotten a hold of a bunch of debit/credit cards and is now charging them to the tune of 9.95 for "internet services" or "web site design templates" or as the con-artist told our local investigator "virtual files".

Their web site, per the guy that was talked with, is where they supposedly sell the templates for 9.95, and he gets many purchases made with fraudulent and stolen credit/debit cards.

Secondly, the charges showed up on 08/08/05 and the guy says his web site www.macceeinc.com won't load, that it went down "just this week and will be up in a day or two, at least by next week". This is funny, because a simple whois search shows that the domain name in question expired over two months ago - and is in redemption status until 08/22/05. This means in about 11 days the web site will be free at large to the internet community again.

Simple tools found that the guy's story he told the police that he "sold items through his web site to someone who stole my debit/credit card info" just doesn't hold up when the web site has been expired for two months.

A secondary web site www.macceeinc.info lists a different name and owner, with the 270 phone number that the other complaints on this company have listed - a US zip code on the whois with the country code of AG with a US phone number.

I have two phone numbers I have been able to reach a live person at and talk to them both about this and they both acknowledge Mac-Cee Inc. As a business.

Check out this guy's resume - $130,000 a year he claims as a "Sr. Consultant" with Mac-Cee, Inc. Yet he is selling web site templates or web services or virtual files depending upon who you talk to who has talked with this guy for 9.95 and the majority of the "customers" or should I say "victims" have never heard of him or his business.
