Force Placed Insurance Ripoff

After having an existing mortgage transferred (sold) to Vanderbilt Mortgage from Chase Manhattan I have had nothing but problems. First of all, I live in a doublewide mobile home on a 1.5 acre piece of property purchased together. Land and home package. Vanderbilt Mortgage decided that I did not have sufficient insurance to cover the home on the mortgage. After playing the He/She is not in game for about 4 months, several sessions of "we did not receive the information you faxed us" and "we did not get the faxes from your insurance company", I thought the Force placed insurance problem had been resolved. According to the letter I received that said they had resolved the issue and there was no charges for force placed insurance incurred.

Now today I come home and find another message from Vanderbilt Mortgage. I call figuring that maybe someone there had followed up on this account and wanted to assure me that everything had been taken care of... (Wrong)

Today it seems that due to a lapse in insurance coverage (that never happened) my payment was not fully applied to my account because they took out for the force placed insurance that they had to provide for 21 days in february. After speaking with my agent who assured me there had never been a lapse in my coverage since 1999, the agent took over the game and I am hoping that the faxed policy information is received and that this issue will finally be brought to a close.

I cannot believe that Vanderbilt Mortgage took money from my payment and I hope that they will credit my july payment fully. I would like to know if this practice is even legal..
