Eware this company. They do not use legal or lawful methods of pawn broking in alabama. Be really carefull of the fact they do not use new pawn slips if you pay interest. They, tyson green and father who own and run the greenback pawn shop, only keep track of when interest is due by writing the date due on a little green envelope. Then are free to enter any date they wish on there computers.

I had a firearm that was an antique from the 1800's, they are antique firearms collectors, that they "sold" before my 60 days to pay the interest, provided by alabama state law, was up. A firearm pawned has to be held 15 days before being sold by state law. Please refere to al. State banking department for a list of the laws and regulations. They sold my firearm the same day they pulled the ticket.

I had a previous encounter with them 2 weeks before when i picked up a different pawn i had, it was movies. They gave me the wrong box when i paid off the pawn and tyson and father, mr. Green, insisted it was mine when it wasnt. Mine was dvd movies which was plainly written on the ticket giving a decription including the titles and had pulled my ticket and already sold 1 of the movies.

After a long battle they exchanged the goods and i got my movies back minus the one they sold. Dvd, tv's, and firearms are the 3 biggest things people pawn and buy from pawn shops. Beware of ripoffs in this tiny alabama town of scottsboro. Its full of shady buisnesses.
