Ripoff

The mortgage is saying that i still own 70,469.00 for the mortgage. I first got the house the loan was only for 63,000 and I have been here for the last 5 yrs. I own more than the beginning so how can that be. I had to file a chapter 13th to keep the housr cause my mother was ill and when she died I was off of work for awhile and had no income, so I was behind in the payment so that i would not lose the house i had to file that. I was paying 722.84 a month and then 680.74 I have payed 722.84 for the last 9 month and should had been paying 680.74. Please tell me how can I own that much in mortgage. That is a rip-off. Please help me
