RIPOFF - Got arrested

I sold a bracelet on Craigs list and got a response from someone who wanted to buy it. Okay, okay, I know NOW that is is a scam, then I didn't. I received a check and cashed it at a local check cashing establishment since I bank with my credit union at work which is out of state. Had no problem cashing it. Sent the person an e-mail and said I had gotten the check cashed and where did I need to mail the bracelet. Never heard back from them.

This past Tuesday, while I home with the flu, my son comes into my room and tells me the police are here. He says he has a warrant for my arrest for forgery!!! I was arrested and taken to jail! This is a felony with a huge bail. Evidently, the place I had cashed it at, put a warrant out on me because they said I knew it was not real! I had no idea about this, plus they did not contact me at all about the check. Now I am faced with all of this.

Any advice from anyone?
