Harassment of the lowest form arizona

My husband has been paying down a debt for American Express to GC Services. We send them a check every month without fail. Although the checks are cashed we continue to get harassing phone calls on a daily basis. I have asked this agency to cease calling my home but they continue. I have been threatened and demeaned. They have said they will call my neighbors and report my bills to them.

How can they do this? I can understand the harassment and the phone calls if we weren't paying the bill, but, the fact is that we pay down this debt every month by thousands. I have proof!!! They call every day up to 8 times a day so far.

I have filed a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission but have yet to hear a response.

Is there any hope for these calls to stop, or am I just wasting my time? I truly believe thaat the practices of GC Services MUST be illegal in some way. How can it be legal to harass someone so adamantly when the bill is being paid? Our financial circumstances changed dramatically which is why we owe this bill. We have been paying it off, I swear! Every month like clockwork!!!
