I am so glad that I found this site and was able to read about the other rip-offs perpetrated by this company.
I would like to tell what happened to my wife.in 1998, she inherited a rather large amount ($54,000) from her father.

This money had been invested with Merrill Lynch primaily in safe and secure municipal bonds and utilities. My wife at that time was suffering from cancer (she died two years later). Because my wife knew nothing about investments, a crooked broker (more interested in his commission than in providing a good service to his client) convinced her to sell the majority of her father's portfolio and "invest" in junk bonds!!! At the time of her death, the junk bonds had lost 40% of their value!!!
