Ripoff of 299 dollars

I was contacted by a "majestic Benefits" rep. And told me that i was approved for a 5 thousand dollar credit limit and that their was a big package with the card.

The rep also told me that i would have to pay a 299 dollar one time only fee for the package and that this credit card would help my credit build. She took my as well as my husbands soc sec number.

The way i paid for the 299 dollar card was with a check over the phone. Today i received the package and as i was filling out the papers i read that it was a cash card not a credit card and i had to put money on it.

And i also had to pay a 39.95 card fee to process the card so i called majestic benefits to find out why and the man which i was never told a name said that the people who make the card is charging me that money not them.

So i said ok and then when i was filling out the paper work again i was wondering why they would tell me it was a credit card and not a cash card.

So i called them again and the same man answered the phone and i asked him why i was told that it was a credit card and the man told me to call back on monday and listen to my recorded conformation.

So then i got off the phone and my husband and i were looking at eachother and he asked me why we had to pay 299 dollars on a cash card if we put our money on it anyway.

My husband called him back and the man was very rude and said that we needed to stop calling and my husband asked to speak to a manager and the man said their is none here and my husband said i need to speak to the manager and the man said i dont care what you want and hung up.

We called back to get his name and he would not give it and the man hung up.

If you have any way to help us get our money back please let us know we realy did not have that money to give.
