Business & Finance

My husband and I have made some significan purchases on our best buy account. Over the last couple of months we had purchased some items that qualified for their 90 days no interest plan. We also returned and/or exchanged some items. Over the last few months I have been making payments to this account and vexingly enough noticed that the balance was not going down. What I finally realized was that there were items that we had returned still coming up as "promotional payoff's" that they expect us to pay! Meaning they credited the refund but did not remove the line item for promotion, so when it expires they show we still owe that amount! I now have to go back over the last years statements and find all return reciepts to see if I can get my money back!!!

Not to mention they have charged us finance charges (minimal I grant but there nonetheless) for items that were supposed to be under a promotional period from day one. And they have said we don't qualify for certain promotions when we know for a fact we did, but just because we bought at a different store they said we didn't. (like the 6 months vs 90 day periods)

I could go on. I will never use this card again. I would recommend you check your records carefully because if they have done this to us I bet they have done it to others!!!
