Tricked me, now ridiculing me ripoff

Well, I got a Double whammy. #1, I got into a wreck. Lost my truck. Only had Liability (I was poor). I needed a car bad. I did not have any credit. I saw a commercial. UGLY DUCKLING!!!

Well I went there, bought the car, the car sucked. They did not care. Stopped paying for car (brother let me take over payments on a really nice car). Care was repo'd. Ugly duckling, thats another rip off report. Thsi was in 1999. Big ugly stain on my credit.

Around summer of I got the itching to start my own business. I was looking at a duplex to get started. But, stupid me, I try to figure out how much I would need to settle my dept. I called drivetime, they said I neede to call, I am almost in tears typing, Midland Credit Managment. I never talked with a ruder people in my life. Then, I just said forget it.

I told my brother about this. He said, "just ride it out, there are ways around the repo thing." But stupid me, I did not listen to him. A MCM rep called, but this time it was a soft spoken supervisor telling me that I can settle this really cheap, and any payment would stop and intrest or additional fees from mounting. If I could turn back time.

Well, I made a $100 payment. I called my bor about this and told him what I did "to which he asked me for $100 since I had money like that to throw away (he was being sarcastic). I realized, that I made a very stupid mistake. Not only was I out 100 dollars (I tried to do a stop payment with my on my check card - didnt work), but later on, these MSM goons began to call me asking me for more money.

Disgusted with myself, I told them that I will not give them anymore money due to I was stupid for doing so in the first place and that I will ride out the rest of the time it will be on my credit. Horrors, the rep told me that by me making a payment to them, I reset the staute of limitiations (all the while laughing). I felt like I wanted to crawl under a rock and die. All I wanted to do is get somewhere in life.

Now, by me calling MCM, I set myself back several steps. Do not deal with these people, do not make any payments to them. Don't be like me. This is the only blemish on my credit. Sad thing is, its is all my fault for not researching the crooks, Ugly ducklin, MCM. If anyone has any suggestions, please, any would help. But I know I am most likely SOL. Now I know why panhandlers do what they do.
