Ripoff

I received a call this morning from Mr. Hughes stating that I owed a bill to Amoco Oil for over $600.00 dating back to 1983. I asked for support for the bill and he told me he was giving me support the total and the date. I advised him that I have never had a credit card from them. I went back and reviewed some old credit report copies from 84,88, 90 92 etc and found nothing ever reported on them.

Luckily I had kept these each time I bought a house. Mr Hughes was very rude and told me that I was responsible for the debt. When I asked for back up he hung up o me and told me that I would be receiving a letter in the mail. I do not owe this, I have never had an Amoco account and I am undecided on how to handle this. Mr. Hughes advised me before hanging up on me that they had bought these accounts from a collection agency.
