RAL rip-off! Thru Turbo Tax online tax filing

After filing my taxes online, an offer for a refund anticipation loan was offered by Santa Barbara Bank and Trust. My return was accepted on 01/15/05. An e-mail sent to me on 01/19/05 indicated my disbursement would be sent within 24 hours.

As of today, 01/21/05, no disbursement is in the works - their reps tell me I have to wait until 01/28/05!! This is not an RAL! Had I taken my print out to a local firm, I would have walked out with a check! My state tax is ALREADY back and ready to direct deposit.

I have filed taxes online for 6 years and have always had the IRS refund deposit back in 3-5 days. SBBT is refusing to cancel the transaction, refusing to expedite my money and refusing to acknowledge the e-mail of 01/19/05, DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE!

It is false advertising and will not get you your refund money - you will wait longer than if you filed yourself! Their fees are much higher ($75.00) and they use your money free of charge until they see fit to forward the disbursement. From the 15th to the 28th is longer then the IRS takes to process early filings!!
