Sprint Cavalry
Ripoff 0 Balance Scam Billed me for balance that was paid off over two years ago

Business & Finance

I received a collection notice from Cavalry Portfolio; however, this was for a balance paid in full to Sprint PCS over two years ago!

I called Cavalry to find out how their organization works, and if it is common practice to solicit paid off accounts from clients.

I was told that they purchased over 3,000, 000 accounts from Sprint, and, yes some have been paid off, but mistakes happen.

Amazing! I asked how could a zero balance be turned over to a collection agency, they had no answer except the "mistakes... Blah blah blah" answer. That answer is not sufficient. How many people out there with zero balances are being forced to pay for fear of a bad credit score? THIS MUST BE STOPPED!!! It is fraudulent! I am proposing filing a class action lawsuit against both organizations. (Sprint PCS & Cavalry). Please indicate on this website if you wish to file as well, and I will begin proceedings. I deal with collection agencies on a daily basis in my work, WE CANNOT LEGALLY TURN OVER A ZERO BALANCE TO A COLLECTION AGENCY, WE CAN BE FINED IF WE DO, EVEN IF IT IS IN ERROR!
