Scammed out of 995 dollars

I applied for a loan modification. Every time they needed any information. I either mailed to them or faxed it to them. They were supposedly working in conjuction with Ocwen, my mortgage company. They reviewed every document I sent them, and they in turn rerouted the documents to OCWEN. After I got my modification, approved, I could never get a hold of them again, through any means of communication. I sent them a photocopy of two checks, which they cashed in. One in February, and the other in April. Later on I learned that I was not supposed to get charged anything for my mortgage modification. I also tried to get some information from my mortgage company "Ocwen. They stated that they did not know anything about it. So where is my money? The money was supposed to be so that they could send someone down to check my home for anything that was wrong with the home. They never sent anyone to my home. How could ocwen not know anything about
it if they were supposed to be working together. Something smells fishy.
