I have recently been contacted by an automated caller that shows up as "Georgia" on my caller I.D. The number on caller I.D. Is bogus but the number the message leaves put me in touch with a collection agency. The rep. I talked to informed me this is an attempt to collect a debt in the ammount of $ 155.00 but would not tell me who the debt was from or any other information "his name, name of the collection agency, adress " absolutely nothing. When I asked for written verification of the debt he said it was sent months ago to a residence I have not lived in for several years and said he would not sent it again. He then got extremely rude when it was apparent that I was not just going to fork over the money on his say-so and hung up. Well since then I get about 2 calls a day from "Georgia" But there is nothing on the other end when I pick-up the phone. I have lost the number and would very much like to get to the bottom of this since I am planning on buying a house this summer and don't need something like this messing it up. If anyone can help in any way I would be very grateful.
