Ripoff Cancelled Bail Bond Never Told Me and Now Refuses to Return Collateral

I paid Ms. Ann Farmer, Owner of Easy Out Bonding, Gainesville, Georgia, $757.00 on 8-31-04, to post bail for a family member being held at Habersham County Jail.

Three weeks later, this company cancelled the bond, after family member was re-arrested, never bothered to tell me, and now refuses to return collateral of $560.00.

They've avoided my phone calls all along, but now no longer answer at all. I'm forced to leave a message, which is never returned.

There were many also other aspects of this bail transaction that were unfair, unjust, and probably not in accordance with Georgia State Law. To make matters worse, it is next to impossible to find out who has jurisdiction over these Bail Companies. No one admits to it, and it seems that nobody wants
any involvement with them (bondsmen/companies).

I've had to resort to contacting News Fox 5 in Atlanta, as well as their local newspaper, (Gainesville Times), and several public officials, and am optimistic that EVENTUALLY I'll receive my money, in spite of this dishonest, deceitful and unscrupulous company. But it should have never come to this. So, please be forewarned:

If you're ever in N.E. Georgia, and find yourself in need of a bail bond, STEER CLEAR OF EASY OUT BONDING! At best, you'll be waiting a LONG time for return of any money due, and they just might cancel your bond completely.
