Affordable Bail Bonds have a owner that believes the law does not apply to him. The home of the "Toughest Sheriff in America, Joe Arapaio", is also home to the sleaziest bail bond agent in America, Richard Dickerson.

As a result of a complaint to the Secretary of State in November he had his Notary Public License Suspended.in addition, the Department of Insurance suspended his Bail Bond Agent license TWICE 2005. Yet, despite numerous complaints, his is allowed to operate under his suspended dba.

Furthermore, his name and company is still listed in the licensed bail agents list that is posted in every city and county jail facility in Maricopa County. This is another way he bends the rules.

He has one other unique method of doing bonds. He frequently "discounts" the rates and then after the inmate is released he sends his recovery agents to pick the person up and bring him back into custody. The reason, of course, is to generate more money.

I take serious insult to his "business" practices since I, too, am employed at a Bail Bonding Company. Please don't judge all of us like him. He is what gives the industry a bad reputation.
