USbank - USbank

Business & Finance

Usbank had a promotion that says you can receive an automated deposit of $5, if you use your USbank card for 25 purchases of $15 and under up til 6/30. I have been verified in qualifying for this offer, but when I did some more research and much calling to the bank (which gave me the run around), I found out that it is supposed to take 8-10 weeks to receive this $5. However last month I also received an email that says that my account would now have a monthly fee, because my direct deposit of my SSD no longer qualifies for account fee waiver! I am on SSD and it IS a fixed income. I have also been turned down for a loan even though I have a good credit score. I have called corporate about this issue, and some other issues, only to get No ANSWER. I have come to the conclusion that US bank is uncaring to it's low income customers, and that their so called customer service does NOT care of it's customers! Because of the August change in accounts, I have to find another bank to use for my SSD. They are telling me that I have to keep my account open to receive this money. I am confused at why a financial institution scams people out of $5. Now that may NOT be much to some people, but when you are on a fixed income, it matters! So basically I would NEVER see that $5 because the monthly charges on my account would be $7.95. That would make me pay $2.95, so therefore I never get my $5. I think this was set up as a scam to trick customers into staying with the bank. When calling corporate they give the run around and say that only one person can address this issue. Her name is Brandy Krachmire, and she is out of the executive office in Mn. The corporate operator number is 651-466-3000. Mrs. Krachmire number is 651-466-5333. I suggest that any USbank customers that are having problems to call corporate and question them. Word of mouth can help or hurt any business, and after seeing all of the negative comments and posts regarding this uncaring institution, I can see that the Negative posts way outway the Positive. Usbank needs to wake up and show their customers that they actually do care about their customers. After all would they be in business without their customers? Whose money are they investing to get their riches? Of course ours (The customers)! I will take the $5 loss and close my account ASAP. As for the rest of you do what you feel is right, but I do recommend voicing your opinion to the corporate office. Maybe their investors should know of these concerns, so they know why they will be losing many customers?!
