Takes Christmas away from yet another sucker's kid

On December 17, like all of the other complaintants here, I received a phone call from First Link Benefits. The rep was a foreign-sounding (Indian, verified by me speaking to her in what little Hindi I know) lady name "Lucia" who offered me a MasterCard with a $2500 Unsecured limit and a complete Gateway computer system.

At first I told her that the deal sounded too good to be real but she managed to convince me that this was an opportunity for people with bad credit to rebuild their credit. She already had all my information and all I had to do was verify it. I did just that and was transferred to her "Manager" Mark Allen (he was American) who again verified my information and assured me that the offer was legitimate.

They withdrew $354.90 from my account on the 24th of December which cost me any chances of buying my 5 year old Christmas gifts. I was having bad feelings about them, so I decided to research the company and came across this web site. I could kick myself in the head over this and the fact that I didn't check here first. Needless to say, I have been on the phone with my bank trying to get the funds reversed back into my account. The bank is in the process of doing an investigation on these guys, they are monitoring my account for any further odd transactions and tomorrow, I have to meet with the bank manager to get my funds put back into my account.

So, thank you First Link Benefits for ruining my daughter's Christmas and possibly getting us evicted for not being able to pay rent now. I hope my complaints to the bank and the FTC will result in putting these scumbags away.
