Letter stating your name and social security number 123-45-6789 is under investigation! Turns out it's all a scam! Ripoff

I received this letter from N.I.C. Stating that my name and social security number are being investigated and that it will be put into a "national database". Needless to say I was confused, because I have never used my name or social security in any illegal way. So I immediately came to this website and was relieved to find that I wasn't alone. Other people had received similiar letters.

I will be reporting them to the Illinois State's Attorney's office tomorrow morning. Especially since they listed my full name, full social, and full address in this letter, had it gotten into the wrong hands who knows what kind of things could show up on my credit report!
