Centurian Financial Benefits & Protel Aka Nationwide Professional Teleservices almost fell but got back up! Rip-off!

I was almost the victim of Centurian. I received a call on a friday afternoon letting me know that i had qualified for a $2000.00 credit line. I wasn't alarmed at first because i had applied for a couple of cards over the internet, but at the end of the verification process the operator did say that i couldn't cancel this until it was a done deal.

This did send up some red flags so when finished i immediately called the toll-free number they had given me. Of course i got voicemail saying stating the hours they were available so icalled the other number she had given me and got no answer. This threw up more red flags so i logged on to visit there web-site which was under construction or having technical difficulties which threw up more red flags, by this time i was starting to feel like i had been took.

I called my bank to put a stop payment on the debit and was informed that these companies knew all the tricks and would just change the dollar amount on the debit to get past. The service rep for my bank told me the only way to stop them was to close my account so i had to go to the bank first thing on sat, morning to close the account. This was kinda embarrassing but had to be done. It was a business account and the bank put a fraud freeze on my account and i am going today to open another account.

I feel fortunate in the fact that i caught this before it went any further and that my bank was as big a help as they were. The only thing that realy has me concerned is that they have all my personal information. I am gonna pursue this and report them to every agency i can think of. What horrible people to prey on victims that already have enough problems. As long as people need money these kind of companies will continue to hurt not just individuals but our economy as a whole.

I truely hope that web-sites like yours and people like me can put a crimp in their action. Again i will continue to try to put a stop to these people but in the end always remember if it sounds to good to be true it probably is!!!
