NCO Financial Services, Inc Attempted Questionable Business Practice, Intimidation. Rip-off!

Here is a copy of a letter I sent to NCO Financial. Perhaps it is of use to others who encounter questionable or intimidating tactics. It took some research, a few minutes to write the letter and a few more minutes to write the Pennsylvania Attorney General and the BBB.

Dear Ms. Wild:

I received a telephone call from one of your employees, a Mr. Stein. Upon returning the call I spoke with a different employee, Tracy about a supposed unpaid student loan from 40 years ago. It became apparent that company policies involve some measure of intimidation. I am not a person who is easily intimidated.

A cursory investigation via the Internet indicates that your company is held in very low regard as a result of questionable business practices. See consumer complaintss at http://usacomplaints.com/Search/NCO-Financial. Aspx

I do not wish to have any contact with a firm of your reputation nor do I wish to be victimized by any fraudulent schemes or practices.

Please put my number, 903-xxx-xxxx, on your Do Not Call list, have your employees refrain from contacting me in any way, and destroy all records that might contain my Social Security number or other personal information that could be used in identity theft or other such purpose.
