Weeklytyping
Weekly Typing work at home ripoff false claims pyramid scheme typing clerical work scam

Business & Finance

WeeklyTyping.com claims to offer a service where you get typing and clerical assignments online, and complete them from home.

However what WeeklyTyping.com actually does is charge you $70 US to join and then pays you to post ads for their website on forums and other online message areas. Effectively the scheme being that you will never make back the $70 you paid in the first place - since you get paid for each forum posting, and it's only 10/15 cents for most posting types, and some of them you need to put your own email address, and collect peoples emails and then send them through to WeeklyTyping.com to receive any money.

Of course it's obvious in hindsight that it's a scam, but I searched and could not find this site listed, or how these sites work as scams and how to recognise them.

Obviously there will be other clerical/typing sites that work in similar ways, so be careful that there is real work to be had from a site. Not just a circular pyramid scheme to rip people off.
