CashnetUSA
Lies and Misrepresentation

Business & Finance

I am on Social Security Disability. It's hard to make it on a fixed income, so I applied for credit through CashNetUSA, out of Chicago, for a small loan to get me through the end of the month.

What started out as a $200 advance quickly mushroomed into thousands of dollars in fees, interest, and completely unexplainable charges. Their customer service reps have no idea what is going on, and constantly blame everything on computer errors. They apologize for the error, but refuse to make any effort to fix anything.

To make matters worse, they make it impossible for me to check my account balances online or to provide me a clear explanation of how and why I am being charged so much. They charge a 25% transaction fee each time an advance is requested, adding it to the principal loan balance, and then charging the daily interest on top of the loan balance, thus double charging interest upon interest.

Ironically, I find it puzzling that an establishment with such questionable practices just happens to be advertizing on this website. What's up with that?
