Scammed me into purchasing insurance for a $5000 loan to secure

I was having a finacial hardship, I have been applying for loans. I finally received a call stating I was approved for a loan through a private lender. But... My credit history is not that good, In order to get the loan I must purchase insurance to secure the loan in case I default on the payments. I did agree and in two payments I sent them $1200 with the promise that the $5000 loan would be directly deposited into my account that day.

Three days passed and there was excuse after excuse about delays. After the third day no one would return my calls. Their phone goes in and out as being temporarily disconnected. E-mails being returned. I reported to the BBB but they can not help me because all the mail is being returned. I also filed a complaint with the IFCC but normally they will not do anything unless they have several complaints.

I feel they are located in Toronto, Canada. The music while I was on hold was from a radio station in Canada.
This devistated me and my family. I am a single mother of 2 very active boys, I was already having to scrape by then these people ripoff $1200 from me.
