Bank of America
Horrible! - Checking

Business & Finance

I was a customer at Bank of America for a number of years, until this morning when I went it and demanded a cashier's check and closed my accounts. The reason? Over the last number of years, if I made a large purchase, each and every time fraud protection blocked the account. Once I was purchasing an i-phone on a Saturday and the salesman, had worked hard to get me a good deal and then because the fraud protection line was working, etc., I couldn't purchase the phone. The other night with prescription meds. Until my insurance kicks in I had to make a purchase in cash. My card was declined and it started a massive stink at the pharmacy. I spoke to Bank of America and had to listen to all of the, "... If I was in your shoes I would like someone to call." One customer service rep even began to share his own personal financial plight!!! Yesterday, I was turned down at lunch in the hospital cafeteria where I work. I decided that was enough. I walked in today in a branch in Manhattan to close my account. Make a long story short, not the brighest bulbs in the box but had my account closed. If I had room and you could read the whole story, you would not believe it. So no, I will have nothing to do with B of A again.in fact, I'm stupid, when they tried to levy the monthly ATM card, I should have gotten out then.
