Palisades -Txcollect
Ripoff

Palisades reported a collection to all 3 bureaus for an ATT wireless account that I never had. I spent 2 weeks and a minimum of 2 hours a day calling them and their affiliates. I am an investor and as such use my credit as source to buy properties which feeds my family.
AT&T sold thousands of accounts to Palisades. When Palisades found that a great percentage of accounts were fraudulent or had already been paid they outsourced them to a co conspirator or an unsuspecting company TXCollect Dba CtI out of Austin Texas.

TxCollect actually has on their web page a link to fill out an Identity theft Affidavit because so many people are calling in with the big question of what the hell is this on my credit report. I was told by a customer service rep that if they could get back their money from AT&T they would. But they cant so we pay for it with the negative marks on our credit report.

One point to keep in mind is most of the accounts they are collecting were 1 year contracts and these accounts as I was told by AT&T had nothing but a verbal contract... No signature no paper contract nothing. So I ask you how do you dispute a fraudulent account with no proof of account ownership. Did AT&T ever have any proof that these accounts existed.

Why do these persons have so much control over my credit file when none of this can be verified.

For those who think it can't be removed from their credit files I say it can be done.

The first step is to call both Palisades and their affiliates (in my case TXCollect) and harass and agitate them on a more than regular basis. I also found the use of a tape recorder handy. I had to play back on multiple occassions what each company had previously told me. As they were all caught in the midst of their lies I repeatedly called the Texas Attorney Generals office (this was useless as they only sent me generic responses back)

I also found faxing 100's of documents and lengthy requests handy as their fax machines often ran out of paper. I did this 2 and three times a day. Best of luck getting thes Conspirators to remove incorrect data from your file but it can be done with a group effort.
