Business & Finance

Bank of America, N.A. Transferred my reverse mortgage to Champion Mortgage. Champion Mortgage then sent me a letter stating I was behind in my property taxes and they had paid them in the amount of $386.49, demanding repayment immediately. Those property taxes were paid months before. I have a letter from the Riverside County Treasurer stating Champion Mortgage did not make any payment to my property tax account.

Now the property tax amount is increasing with interest and finance charges being added monthly. Their evident intention is to foreclose.

When I filed complaints with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, the Attorney General of Washington State and the Consumer Complaint Agency, Champion Mortgage refused to respond to or dispute any of the complaints.

The Consumer Complaint Agency has censured Champion Mortgage for failing to issue a response to my complaint and has given them a negative designation.
