I recently tried to purchace a coupon for a massage for my mother. I had a $20 Groupon voucher that would make the $30 Groupon into a $10 coupon. Yay! So, I went throug the entire process to acquire the coupon, but when it came time to submit my debit card info the site messed up, sent me back to the home page and I never got to put in my coupon. After that the site was almost unusable, meaning I couldn't navigate back to where I was, so I chalked it up to fate that I shouldn't have gotten then coupon anyway.

The next day I received an email from Groupon saying that my bank had insufiecient funds. I thought it was because my coupon expired and I didn't have $30 in the bank at the time. No big deal. 7 days later I went to the gas station to purchase a soda, and was told my card declined. I knew I had at least 20 bucks in acount. I checked my account and found out that everyday since the first day I tried ordering the coupon, Groupon had been trying to get the funds from my account, and because the amount of the coupon exceeded what I had my bank charged me a fe everytime they ran my card. Which happened to be 2 or 3 times a day, everyday for 7 days.

My account went into the hole quickly, and my bank would not remove the fees because it was not bank error. I called Groupon and told them about the situation and they said the most they could do was give me $8.00 Groupon credit? What about my messed up bank account. I mean they attempted 7 times and not once was I given a confirmation email that they even received my order, nor was I able to put in the coupon code, and not once did the "failed attempt emails" (I received 2) say that I had to cancel the order or they would continue to try tp charge me. The Groupon C.S. Rep told me that all online companies do this. WRONG! I have never heard of a company that tries over and over to collect the money until you literally say stop. I can see once... I can see twice, but 3 times a day for 7 days in a row? Ridiculous. To this day I am still paying for the fes and all groupon said was sorry it happened, let us know if we can assist you further... Yeah give me money to help with the fees you caused me!
